
Vinyasa Flow
| As a busy mother of two living in the D.C. area, I have struggled to find pace, in every sense of the word. I have found many things in yoga: and these I hold still in every practice: Breath, Strength, Flexibility and yes, Peace.
Vinyasa yoga holds that, in each pose, (asana), the breath that is linked or found within that pose, provides a power and a sense of well-being and confidence that each student can explore to the full-range of their potential. Vinyasa, in Sanskrit, translates as linking and the system also implies the linking of the movement to the breath. Therefore, as one moves through this flow of movement, each pose and its benefits complement each other. At the end of the practice one is left feeling rejuvenated, calm and stretched! So, I urge you to try yoga, learn to listen, observe and assess where you are, to challenge your own edge to the depths of relaxation, range of motions, inner strength and connection. – Namaste – |
